This training program builds on the content of the Confined Space Entry Awareness course to train participants on the safety considerations and how to safely perform rescue from confined space.
Note: Participants must wear appropriate CSA footwear. This program has a very significant practical component that can be physically demanding for some. Participants will have the opportunity to extricate weighted mannequins from our confined space simulators
Course Details
This training program builds on the content of the Confined Space Entry Awareness course to train participants on the safety considerations and how to safely perform rescue from confined space.

Training Is Valid For:
3 years from the date of successful completion.
Materials Provided:
Course materials and participant workbooks.
Certificate Issued:
Upon completion, students will be issued a certificate and wallet card showing proof of their training.

Who should take the Confined Space Rescue course?
This course is intended for employers, supervisors, attendants, entry rescuers and workers who may be involved in planning or executing a rescue from a confined space. It is especially beneficial for teams responsible for confined space entry and rescue planning in their workplace.
What prerequisites are required before enrolling in this rescue training?
Participants must have already completed the Confined Space Entry Awareness training before enrolling in the rescue course.
How is the training delivered?
Training combines classroom instruction with experienced instructors and extensive practical exercises. Participants will size up hazards, develop rescue plans, practice use of rescue equipment and perform hands‑on rescue simulations, including extricating weighted mannequins from confined space simulators.
Is there heavy physical work involved?
Yes. The practical portion of the course can be physically demanding. Participants should be prepared for physically‑active rescue simulations, which may include lifting and maneuvering equipment and removing weighted mannequins from confined spaces.
