Course Details
Falls remain the leading cause of serious injuries and fatalities in construction and industrial settings, often due to improper use or absence of fall protection systems. This comprehensive course equips participants with the essential knowledge and skills to work safely at heights. Participants will learn the responsibilities of workers and supervisors under Ontario’s Health & Safety Act, how to identify fall hazards, and the proper use of ladders, fall arrest equipment, and other protective measures. The course also covers risk assessments, planning for safe work environments, and emergency response strategies, including rescue procedures for fall incidents. This training ensures workers are prepared to prevent and respond to fall hazards effectively.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS AS REQUIRED BY THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT AND REGULATIONS
– OHSA – 25(2)(A), (D) and (H), Section 27 & 28 – OHSA – Regulation 851 – Section 85

Do you need Working at Heights Training?
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training & Skills Development (MLITSD) Working at Heights training requirements came into effect on April 1 2015 to serve the purpose of ensuring that workers in the construction sector successfully complete a Working at Heights training course delivered by an approved training provider.
