Workplace Violence and Harassment Training is essential for workers from all Ontario workplace sectors. This includes new hires who need to understand their rights and responsibilities, Joint Health and Safety Committee members responsible for addressing workplace concerns, supervisors and managers who must implement and enforce policies, human resources professionals, and any worker who desires a deeper understanding of legislative requirements mandated by the Occupational Health and Safety Act. ACUTE’s Workplace Violence and Harassment Training is a half-day program that takes 4 hours to complete. The course provides comprehensive instruction on legislative requirements, policy development, risk assessment procedures, and the legal provisions under Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act that prohibit violence and harassment in the workplace. You’ll learn through classroom interaction with experienced instructors, group discussions that encourage participation and real-world application, and detailed handouts, videos, and quizzes. This focused half-day format ensures you gain essential knowledge about your rights, responsibilities, and the steps needed to create a safe, respectful workplace without requiring a full day away from work. 

We offer flexible training locations to suit your needs. You can choose to have the 4-hour course conducted on-site at your facility, which is particularly beneficial for training entire teams together and discussing workplace-specific scenarios, or at our training facility in Waterloo. On-site training allows us to reference your actual workplace policies and address concerns specific to your work environment during group discussions. Training at our facility provides access to our spacious classroom and full break room amenities. Both options deliver the same comprehensive program with experienced instructors who guide participants through legislative requirements, policy development steps, risk assessment procedures, and the critical topic of how domestic violence can impact the workplace.
